Ibn Umar reported:

Ibn Umar reported: He would kill snakes until Abu Lubaba narrated to him that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has forbidden the killing of domesticated snakes, so Ibn Umar refrained from killing them.

one-hundred times in one day: "None has the right to be worshipped but
Allah, the Alone Who has no partners, to Him belongs Dominion and to Him
belong all the Praises, and He has power over all things (i.e.
Omnipotent)", one will get the reward of manumitting ten slaves, and
one-hundred good deeds will be written in his account, and one-hundred bad
deeds will be wiped off or erased from his account, and on that day he will
be protected from the morning till evening from Satan, and nobody will be
superior to him except one who has done more than that which he has done."

Umar ibn Al-Khattab reported: I heard Hisham ibn Hakeem reciting the chapter of the Criterion in a way different from how I recited it and how it was taught to me by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. I was about to argue with him but I waited until he finished and then I tied his shirt around his neck and took him to the Messenger of Allah. I said, “Indeed, I heard this man recite in a way different from what you taught me!” The Prophet said to me, “Send him to me.” He said to him, “Recite.” Then he recited and the Prophet said, “It is as it has been revealed.” Then he said to me, “Recite.” So I recited and the Prophet said, “It is as it has been revealed; verily, the Quran has been revealed in seven dialects, so recite whichever of them you find easy.”

Anas ibn Malik reported: There was a Christian man who embraced Islam and he would recite the chapters of Al-Baqarah and Ali Imran and he would write for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Later, he went back to Christianity and he would say, “Muhammad knows nothing but what I have written for him.” Then, Allah caused him to die and the people buried him, but in the morning they saw that the earth had thrown out his body. They said, “This is the act of Muhammad and his companions! They dug up the grave of our companion and took his body out because he had run away from them.” They again dug the grave deeply for him, but in the morning they saw that the earth had thrown out his body. They said, “This is the act of Muhammad and his companions! They dug up the grave of our companion and took his body out because he had run away from them.” They dug the grave for him as deep as they could, but in the morning they say that the earth had thrown out his body. Then they knew that what had happened was not done by people so they left him.

Zaid ibn Thabit reported: Abu Bakr wrote to him when the people of Al-Yamama were killed and Umar was with him. Abu Bakr said, “Indeed, Umar has told me about the heavy casualties among the people of Al-Yamama, the reciters of the Quran and the Muslims, and he said: I fear more casualties among the reciters in the land and that much of the Quran will be lost, so I think you should order the compiling of the Quran.” I said to Umar, “How can I do something which the Messenger of Allah did not do?” Umar said, “By Allah, it is good.” Zaid said, “He did not stop encouraging me to do that until my heart was opened and I agreed with Umar’s view.” Zaid added that when he and Umar were sitting with Abu Bakr he was not speaking, so Abu Bakr said, “Certainly you are smart young man and you would write the revelations for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, so gather it for him.” Zaid said, “By Allah, if I had been responsible for shifting a mountain among the mountains, that would not have been as heavy as what you have ordered me to do of compiling the Quran.”
