Suwaid b. Muqarrin

Suwaid b. Muqarrin رضي الله عنه reported that he had a servant-girl and someone slapped her, so he said to him, “Did you not know it is forbidden (to strike) the face?” He said, “You see I was the seventh of my brothers during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم and we had only one servant. One of us became enraged and slapped him, so the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم commanded us to set him free.”
[Sahih Muslim, Book 15, Number 4084]
