Suwaid b. Muqarrin

Suwaid b. Muqarrin رضي الله عنه reported that he had a servant-girl and someone slapped her, so he said to him, “Did you not know it is forbidden (to strike) the face?” He said, “You see I was the seventh of my brothers during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم and we had only one servant. One of us became enraged and slapped him, so the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم commanded us to set him free.”

Allah will torture

Hisham ibn Hakim رضي الله عنه passed by some people in Syria who had been made to stand in the sun and had oil poured over their heads. All praise is due to Allah

Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) reported: Dimad came to Mecca and he belonged to the tribe of Azd Shanu’a, and he used to protect the person who was under the influence of charms. He heard the foolish people of Mecca say that Muhammad was under the spell. Upon this he said, “If I were to come across this man, Allah might cure him at my hand.” He met him and said, “Muhammad, I can protect someone who is under the influence of charms, and Allah cures one whom He so desires at my hand. Do you want this?” Upon this the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, “All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, ask His help; and he whom Allah guides aright there is none to lead him astray, and he who is led astray there is none to guide him, and I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, He is One having no partner with Him, and that Muhammad is His Servant and MessengerTo proceed…” Now after this Dimad said: “Repeat these words of yours before me,” and the Messenger of Allah repeated these to him three times. And he said, “I have heard the words of soothsayers, magicians, and poets, but I have never heard such words as yours, and they reach the depth (of eloquence). Bring forth your hand so I can take an oath of loyalty to you and Islam.” So he took an oath of allegiance to him. The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “And on behalf of your people.” He said, “On behalf of my people.” The Messenger of Allah sent an expedition that passed by his people. The leader of the expedition said to the army, “Did you find anything from these people?” One of them said, “I found a basin for water.” So the leader said, “Return it, for indeed these are the people of Dimad.”

covenant

Sulaym ibn Amir, a man of Himyar, said: There was a peace treaty between Muawiyah and the Byzantines, and he was going towards their country, and when the covenant came to an end, he attacked them. A man came on a horse, or a packhorse saying, “Allah is Most Great! Allah is Most Great! Let there be faithfulness and not treachery!” And when they looked they found that he was Amr ibn Abasah. Muawiyah sent for him and questioned him (about that). He said: I heard the Messenger of Allahصلى الله عليه وسلم say: “When one has covenant with people he must not strengthen or loosen it till its term comes to an end or he brings it to an end in agreement with them (to make both the parties equal).” So Muawiyah returned.

I do not say that

Amar ibn Yasir رضي الله عنه said: “Whoever has three [signs] together will have gathered the Faith: Equity with yourself, offering peace to the world, and spending from small amounts.

your Lord is one

Abu Nadrah رضي الله عنه reported: I heard the sermon of the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم during the middle of the day. He said, “O people, indeed your Lord is one and your father (Adam) is one. There is no favoritism of an Arab over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab over an Arab, and neither red skin over black skin, nor black skin over red skin, except through righteous piety. Have I conveyed the message?” They said, “The Messenger of Allah has conveyed the message.” He said, “Which day is this?” They said, “A sacred day.” He said, “Which month is this?” They said, “A sacred month.” He said, “Which country is this?” They said, “A sacred country.” He said, “Indeed, Allah has made sacred your lives and wealth just as He has made sacred this day of yours, this month of yours, this country of yours. Have I not conveyed the message?” They said, “The Messenger of Allah has conveyed the message.” He said, “Let the witness inform one who is absent.

O son of Adam

Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم say: Allah, Blessed and Exalted, says, “O son of Adam! However much you call upon Me and place your hopes in Me, I will forgive you without any reservation. O son of Adam! If you have sins piling up to the clouds and then ask My forgiveness, I will forgive you without any reservation. O son of Adam! If you come to me with enough mistakes to fill the Earth, and meet Me without associating anything as a partner with Me, I will come to you with enough forgiveness to fill the Earth.

To Make The Heart Tender

Narrated 'Aisha (Radi-Allahu 'anha):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Do good deeds
properly, sincerely and moderately and know that your deeds alone will not
make you enter Paradise, and that the most beloved deed to Allah is the
most regular and constant even though it were little."

Bukhari Vol. 8 : No. 471

All thanks is to Allah, whom we seek His help and forgivness. We seek refuge in Allah from whatever evil our hearts conceal and from the consequences of our evil deeds. Whoever Allah grants guidance will never be led astray. Whoever He leads astray will never find guidance. I attest that none is worthy of worship except Allah, who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him].
[Surah Ali Imran 3:102]
O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah , through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
[Surah An-Nisa 4:1]
O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will [then] amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.
[Surah Al-Ahzab 33:70-71]
Indeed, the most truthful speech is the Book of Allah, the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst affairs are newly invented matters. Every newly invented matter is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Hellfire.
